On the warm, rainy summer day of July 20th, 1990 in Kettering, UK; David and Julie McPharlaine welcomed Kimber Autumn McPharlaine into their lives. The newly married couple had struggled for five long years before finally conceiving their little bundle of joy. Since they were teenagers, Julie and David knew they were meant for each other, and when they were nineteen they were married - despite disagreements from both families. They had been together since they met at age twelve and despite how hard life had been for them, they stuck by one another, through thick and thin. Though times were tough for their family, Kimber's parents tried their best to raise her in a good environment, and provide for her as best as they could. As she got older, they noticed how much Kimber loved to play pretend and dress up, and she began talking about wanting to be on television. Kimber's parents thought it was absolutely adorable that she wanted to persue the arts but they were sure it was nothing more than a passing thought. Though, as time passed on, Kimber continued to ask to be on television and so her parents decided together that they would get her an agent. And as for Kimber, she promised in return that she would be a great student. However, harder times fell onto the McPharlaine family and Kimber was not able to get an agent until she turned sixteen. Though she had kept her promise to her parents that she would study hard and work to make something of herself. That same year, auditions for the upcoming Harry Potter films took place and Kimber landed her first role - the role of the eccentric Luna Lovegood in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". Kimber went on to complete filming for the following Harry Potter films in 2011 and has since then had her fair share of work. Though she's still working hard to build her name, she still fears that she will one day lose her star power, and all she can hope for is to be well adjusted enough to leave Hollywood if that time ever comes. But for now, her star power seems to be shining bright, rather than fading and hopefully it will remain that way. To those that know her, Kimber is a kind and generous person with a big heart. She loves her craft and has a strong motivation to keep working, even when times get tough. Kimber credits her parents for her drive to do good and work hard so she can get far in life. Though she's not the most well recognized star, Kimber doesn't let that go to her head, and she's not too worried about failures. She just knows that she wants to be better and in order to perfect her craft; she has to make some mistakes here and there along the way. |
